OBITUARY

GENTRY
GEORGE ROBERT (COTTON), JR of Garland. Born February 19, 1930, in Roxton, Texas, passed away February 23, 2001 at his home in Garland, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. Cotton served time in the US Army in Korea, worked with Ford Motor Company in Dallas until their Grand Ave location closed, then worked and retired from the Freight Lines in Dallas. He was a hard worker and a very devoted family man and will be remembered for his love of family and his Black Lab "Buba" and he will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by his Son Robert Alan (Bobby) Gentry, the Mother of bobby's children, Debby, Cotton's Daughter and son-in-law Paul and Vicki Lamb, the Former Wife and Mother of Cotton's children, Alice Barry all of Garland, Texas, their 5 Grandchildren, Angie, Marc, Christie, David, and Daniel and their 6 Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Tori, Hunter, Carley, Parker and Matthew all of Garland and Wylie, Texas. Surviving Sisters: Helen Morgan and Nese Bonner of Paris, Brothers, J. D. of Livingston, Texas, Billy Ray, and Randall and Martha Gentry and a brother-in-law Roscoe Branum all of Parks, Texas. Preceded in death by his Dad George Robert Gentry, his Mother Lillie Johnson Gentry, and 2 sisters, Edna Earl Branum and Francis Gower Cotton is survived by many other loving relatives and friends. His family will receive relatives and friends 6:30 - 7:30 pm at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris Texas on Friday, February 23. Graveside services will be in Roxton at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 24.
