CPL. ROBERT GLYN GENTRY

Cpl. Robert Glyn Gentry, husband of Mrs. Velma Gentry, the former Miss Velman Anderson, daughtyer of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Anderson, writes home and praises the work of the American Red Cross.  He says they are doing a wonderful job, and asks that we give all we can spare to further this work.
Cpl. Gentry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gentry, is somewhere in England and has been in services for over a year.

 

 

OBITUARY

GENTRY
ROBERT GLYN, 79 passed away on August 21, 1997 in Lewisville, TX. Robert was born on April 8, 1918 in Hebron, TX. He retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years. He was a superintendent for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District, where he retired after 27 years. Robert was longtime active member of the Lakeland, and Old Orchard Baptist Church of Lewisville. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Velma Gentry of Lewisville, sister Avis Pearce of Carrollton; brothers Le Roy Gentry and Royce E. Gentry, and with numerous nieces, and nephews. Services will be held Sunday August 24, 1997, 2:00 p.m. at RHOTON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, officiating, Rev. Marshall Johnson. Interment Hilltop Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Saturday evening August 23, 1997 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, send donations to: VITAS, Denton, TX 940-898-3388.
