Killed Cows and Horse But Spared Boys
T. P. Gentry who moved from Carrollton route to near Kaufman during the winter
had two cows and a horse killed by lightning in the storm of last Saturday.
There were four cows in a row and one was killed at each end of the row.
One boy was milking a cow beside the one killed and one boy was holding a calf
near the other cow which was killed. Neither boy received injuries. The horse
killed was at the other end of the barn from the cows killed. Another horse was
badly injured by the bolt of lightning. The Carrollton Chronicle,

GENTRY
Thomas P., age 76, Residence Farmers Branch, Texas. Died Wednesday. Survived by
wife, Mrs. Annie Bell Gentry; eight sons,
Eldon, John, Charlie, Porter, N. L., Henry, Arvil and Willis Gentry; three
daughters, Mrs. Susie Fletcher; Mrs. Generi Wagner; Mrs. Juanita Taylor;
eighteen grandchildren. Services pending with Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton.
