OBITUARY

Obituary for Mary Anne Giles

RICHLAND HILLS - Mary Anne Baldwin Giles, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2018, surrounded by loving family members.
Memorials: May be made to the Mary Anne Giles Fund, Richland Hills Baptist Church. Mary Anne was born Nov. 16, 1930 in Dallas, Dallas County. She was oldest of three daughters of Horace Newton and Mary Lou Ellen (Johnson) Baldwin. She graduated from Carrollton High, Carrollton, Texas in 1948 and attended North Texas State in Denton.
On June 20, 1948, Mary Anne married the love of her life, Horace Landon (H.L.) Giles. In 1952, they moved to Richland Hills, where they reared their five treasured children. They were charter members of Richland Hills Baptist Church where she taught children in various ministries and served many years as church librarian. She was a homemaker and an educational assistant in the Birdville ISD for 17 years. Mary Anne was an avid reader and her hobby was genealogy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years and her parents.
Survivors: Children, Gayla Elliott, Michael Giles, Nancy McIntosh, James Giles, and Janet Giles Redman (Ed); grandchildren, Michael Shane Giles (Tiffiney), Stephen Chad Giles (Angie), Mandy McIntosh, Kristin Drake (Scott), and Shaun McIntosh; stepgrandchildren, Lyndsie and Bailey Eades; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Tristin, Mattison, Skylar, Jaici, Eyan, Emalee, Kendall, Lochlan and Sydney; soon-to-be-born great-great-grandson, Hagen William; her sisters, Billey Roberts and Ruth Fisher; and a large extended family and friends.
