OBITUARY

Stationary Engineer of Katy Dies at Work

Elden Jones Gillum, 57, of 2526 Fairmont, stationary engineer for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, died suddenly Friday night at the roundhouse of that railroad at the west end of McKinney avenue.
Surviving are two sons, Harry and David Gillum; four daughters, Miss Mary Frances, Miss Helen Bess, Miss Margaret and Miss Anna Laura Gillum, all of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. Eliza Gillum of Carrollton, Dallas County; a brother Emmett Gillum of Yoakum, and two sisters, Mrs. C. A. Johnston of Carrollton and Mrs. Arthur Good of Jiba.

GILLUM - Elden Jones, 2526 Fairmount, died Friday night. Survived by two sons, Harry and David; four daughters, Miss Mary Frances, Miss Helen Bess, Miss Margaret and Miss Anna Laura, all of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. Eliza Gillum of Carrollton; one brother, Emmett Gillum of Yoakum, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. C. A. Johnson, Carrollton, and Mrs. Arthur Good of Jibia. Funeral Sunday, 2 p.m., from the Bower Funeral Home. Interment in Marsh Cemetery near Farmers Branch. Pallbearers: C. A. Johnston, Arthur Good, W. L. Smith, Marsh Elliston, Roy Pierce and Charlie Jackson.

OBITUARY

Eldon Jones Gillum of Dallas was found dead at his place of employment last Friday night at 9:30 o'clock. He was employed by the Katy railroad as a resident engineer and was caring for his duties as usual that night. Mr. Gillum was for many years a resident of Carrollton and was employed on the telephone system here. His mother, Mrs. Eliza Gillum, has lived here for many years tho at present is at Jiba with her daughter, Mrs.  Arthur Good.
Mr.. Gillum is survived by two sons, Harry and David; four daughters; Misses Mary Frances, Helen Bess, Margaret and Anna Laura all of Dallas, his mother, Mrs. Eliza Gillum of Carrollton; one brother, Emmett Gillum of Yoakum, Texas; Mrs. C. A. Johnston of Carrollton, and Mrs. Arthur Good of Jiba. Funeral Sunday 2 p.m.  from the Bower Funeral Home on Maple avenue, Dallas. Interment in Marsh Cemetery, near Farmers Branch. Pallbearers: C. A. Johnston, Arthur Good, W. I. Smith, Marsh Elliston, Roy Pierce and Charlie Jackson.
Mr. Gillum was about sixty years of age. His home was at 2526 Fairmount street, Dallas
