OBITUARY Services Set for Mrs. Good
CARROLLTON - Funeral services for Mrs. Chester A. Good, 70, of 1011
Marilyn, retired head librarian of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent
School District, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of
Carrollton. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
Mrs. Good, an Ellis County native, died in Dallas Friday.
A Carrollton resident for 45 years, she retired in 1962 after 19 years with the
school district.
Mrs. Good was a past president of District 2 of the Texas Congress of the
Parent-Teachers Association. She was a past president of the Dallas Council of
the PTA and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. She was a member of
the Women's Missionary Society and the Woman's Study Club.
She also was a past president of the Carrollton Garden Club and a member of
Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary society. Mrs. Good held a bachelor of library science
degree and a master's degree in education from North Texas State University.
Since her retirement, she had been serving as librarian at her church.
Survivors: Husband; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Grace Heit of Fort Worth; a sister,
Miss Grace Hamilton of Carrollton; a brother, Jim Elf Hamilton of Duncanville,
and three grandchildren.

Rev. Wayne Allen and Dr. Fred A. White officiated at the services and
pallbearers were W. B. Green, Weldon Taylor, Roy Posey, Marvin Loving, Ronald
Neighbors, Glen Odem, George Kelly, Roy Mitchell with Rhoton Weilaned-Merritt
Funeral Home in charge.
