OBITUARY Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Good, Dallas Pioneer
Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Jane Good, pioneer resident of Dallas
County, who died Sunday evening at her home in Farmers Branch, will be held at
the Farmers Branch Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Good was born Aug. 9, 1855, in Kentucky and came to Texas with her parents,
the late Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Butler, when she was two. The Butler family
settled in Dallas County near the present site of Richardson. Her father was one
of the founders of the Richardson Baptist Church.
Her husband was the late James A. Good, native of Dallas County and son of Noah
Good who homesteaded here in 1938.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Good, Carrollton; J. H. (Don) Good, Woodson,
Throckmorton County; four daughters, Mrs. Louella Cook, Farmers Branch; Mrs.
Bertie Noell, Carrollton; Mrs. Ruth Noell, Lubbock; Mrs. Ethel Faulkner, Dallas;
twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Julia Good, Krum, Denton County; Mrs. Ella Good, Farmers Branch.

Mrs. Susan Jane, age 93, died Sunday night at residence Farmers Branch. Survived
by 2 sons, Frank A. Good, Carrollton, J. H. (Don) Good, Wodson, Texas; 4
daughters, Mrs. Luela Cook. Farmer's Branch; Mrs Bertie E. Noell, Carrollton;
Mrs Ruth Noell, Lubbock; Mrs. Ethel Faulkner, Dallas; 21 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Julia Good, Krum <?> Texas; Mrs. Ella Good,
Farmer's Branch. Services at the Farmer's Branch Baptist Church Tuesday 3 p.m.,
Rev. Bailey officiating. Interment
Farmer's Branch Cemetery. The pallbearers will be grandchildren.
