OBITUARY

MRS. BILLIE HOLT GORDON DIES IN  AUTO ACCIDENT

Mrs. Billie Holt Gordon, 34, for many years a resident of Dallas County and who attended Carrollton High School, was killed and her husband critically injured Thursday, Dec. 27, in an auto collision six and a half miles west of Albany on U.S. Hwy. 80. She was a resident of Tulsa, Okla.

Until 1945, Mrs. Gordon was hosiery department, assistant buyer at Harris Co. She was the former Billie Holt, and was married in 1944 to Mr. Gordon. She had lived in Dallas all her life until 1945.

Mrs. Gordon was hurled through the windshield of their 1951 model car. Mr. Gordon, 45, critically injured, was hospitalized in Shackelford County Memorial Hospital at Albany. Also critically hurt was Patricia Swann, 19, of Merkel. James Weldon, driver of the other car involved in the accident, was slightly hurt.

The Gordons moved to Tulsa in 1945.

Burial services were in charge of Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton.

Survivors include three brothers, C. H. Holt of Morgan, Texas, E. O. and E. A. Holt, Farmers Branch; three sisters, Mrs. J. T. Gilmore, Farmers Branch, Mrs. C. W. Hague, Tulsa, and Mrs. J. K. Pensinger, Abilene.
