OBITUARY
 
Dorothy Graff
APRIL 13, 1934 – MAY 2, 2014

Dorothy Lovella Graff of Bartlett Texas went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 2, 2014. She was 80 years and 15 days old. Dorothy was born to Nola Mills Fields and Thomas Olin Fields on April 13, 1934 at home in Thayer, Missouri. She attended many schools in her life due to the fact that her father was an employee of the Rural Electrification Association. They finally settled in Carrollton, Texas and she graduated from Carrollton High School in 1952. Dorothy met the love of her life, John M. Graff, and married him on April 19, 1957.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father Thomas Olin Fields and a Step-father Leonard Eugene Willoughby. Also, paving the way to heaven for her were her Uncles Ralph Mills, Frank Mills, and Glenn Mills as well as Aunts Hazel Baker and Betty Mills.

She is survived by her Husband of 57 years John M. Graff of Bartlett and Mother Nola M. Willoughby of Bartlett. She is also survived by her Daughter and son in law Johnna Rister and Mark of Bartlett, Daughter and Son in Law La Dena Drake and David of Burleson four grandchildren Samantha Anne Krage-Rister of Bartlett, Robert Charles “Chuck’ Rister of Bartlett, John Allen Drake of Burleson and Isaiah David Drake of Burleson. Dorothy is also blessed to be survived by two sisters in law Betty Loucks and Ruth Waring of Linesville, PA. and Aunts Ailene Mills of Thayer, MO., and Diana Mills of Arnold, MO., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Goodnight Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10 am at Goodnight Funeral Home. Per Dorothy’s Request she wants a happy celebration of life service. She asks that people wear bright colors and that we rejoice that she is home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The family also asks that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department, The First United Methodist Church of Bartlett, or Scott and White Hospice.
