OBITUARY

Funeral Rites Slated Saturday For Mrs. Gravley

Mrs. Zuleika Dennis Gravley, 91, of 7502 Kenwell, whose grandfather founded the first Methodist Church in Peters Colony (the area which later became Dallas) in 1844, died Thursday morning in a Dallas nursing home.
A native of Dallas County, she was a life-long member of the Webb Chapel Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, founded by I. B. Webb, her grandfather.
Her husband J. Ben Gravley, was a farmer until his death in 1934.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Esther Halliburton of Los Angeles, Calif.; a son, Glenn D. Gravley of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Layde Hall of Fort Worth; a brother, J. S. Dennis of San Angelo; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Webb Chapel Methodist Church. Dr. J. T. Carlyon of Lovers Lane Methodist Church will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Richard T. Perry, pastor of Webb Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Webb Chapel Cemetery
