OBITUARY
Edna
Muriel (Sword) Green
April 29th, 1927 – December 16th 2012
On December 16th, 2012, the Ultimate Prayer Warrior, recipient of
numerous miracles, was called home to Heaven after honoring Carrollton,
Texas for over half a century of residency. We mourn the physical loss
yet rejoice in the spiritual gain as Edna enters in to Paradise and is
celebrating with all of her family and friends that has preceded her
arrival; everyone is considered friends as Edna "never met a stranger"…
Some consider a role model as their "rock"; Edna was considered the
"rock's rock" as her faith in God was unparalleled and unwavering..
Edna's legacy is very simple yet powerful; she stood for fairness, stood
for what is right but most of all, she stood for God which was evident
in her daily talk and in her daily walk. One of Edna's greatest
treasures thru God was her pets and her family. She was the daughter of
Cecil and Ollie Sword (McCord) to whom preceded her in death along with
her brothers, Curtis Ray Sword, Thomas Dee Sword, Andrew Cecil Sword
along with her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Wright and Mildred Frances Young.
Edna transitioned from Edna Sword to Edna Green upon the marriage to
Charles B. Green on September 14th, 1946. They expanded their family via
daughters, Patricia Darlene Reddick, Carol Ann Moorman, Martha Sue
Hlavaty and sons, Charles Terry Green and James Gary Green; her
blessings grew in multitudes thru numerous grand and great
grandchildren.
