Michael A. Grimes, age 50 of Delaware, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in Delaware. He was born September 2, 1969 in Jerseyville, IL to Barbara (Lovelace) Grimes and the late Timothy Grimes.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his wife Valerie of 10 years; sons: Timothy and Joshua Grimes; mother, Barbara Grimes; brother, Mark Grimes; and several other relatives and friends.

Michael enjoyed watching any and all sports, and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a very friendly and outgoing person. Michael loved meeting new people, and sharing stories with them. He served in the Army and Marines. He was a member of Newstart Church. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Due to the national emergency relating to the Coronavirus, the family has decided to postpone any public celebration of life services until a later date to be announced.

Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to Newstart Church or the American Heart Association.
