OBITUARY
 
In Memory of
Grady M Grizzle
April 25, 1942 - December 2, 2015

Grady M. Grizzle, Ph. D, born April 25, 1942 in Burkburnett, Texas to J.D. Grizzle and Helen Grady Grizzle. Graduated from Burkburnett High School and earned BS, M.Ed., and Ph. D. degrees from North Texas State University. Taught in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and then continued his professional career at the Dallas County Community College District as Instructor, Director of Research for the DCCCD, and Instructional Dean at North Lake College. His career at the DCCCD spanned 44 years. He also taught as an adjunct professor of mathematics at Dallas Baptist University and an adjunct professor of Research Methodology and Statistics at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. It was said of Dr. Grizzle that he could make the complex appear simple to his students.

He is survived by his wife, Kayrene Davis Grizzle of Carrollton, Texas; his children, Cameron Grizzle; Matt Rainwater and Ashley Grizzle Rainwater of Frisco, Texas. He was a loving grandfather to four wonderful young ladies: Ansley, Emma, Katherine, Lauren. He also is survived by his mother, Helen, of Plano, Texas and brothers, Patrick Grizzle and wife Connie of Murphy, Texas and Jay Grizzle and wife Nanette of Paris, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton for over 50 years.

Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, 2pm, December 7, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
