OBITUARY

Bobby Joe Hale, Sr.
Denton, Texas
Jan 29, 1935 - May 24, 2023

Bobby Joe Hale, Sr., 88, of Sanger, Tx., passed away on May 24, 2023, in Denton, Tx. He was born in Bone Cave, Tennessee on January 29, 1935, to Cecil and Lillian Hale.

He was an engineer, worked and managed a team at Texas Instruments for 28 years until he was forced to medical retire. Some of his passions were fishing bass tournaments with his beloved wife Anita. Deer hunting with family and friends. He and his wife were on several bowling teams. He loved going to sporting events and cheering on his Grandkids and Great Grandkids (he proudly wore a team cap). He was a Genius to his family and could fix anything. He loved all family and friend gatherings. Our Dad never met a stranger. You didn’t have to talk with him long to find out he believed and followed Christ and loved his family. At some point in that conversation, he was going to tell you he had been married to his wife for 70 years (he was so proud of her) and that she was the best nurse he could ever ask for. We are a team, and she takes care of me. Most importantly he lived his life with strong morals and was a Christian. He will truly be missed by all. From his Wife and Children: “We love you and thank you for everything you have done for us all these years! You were the best Husband (honey, hun), Dad, PaPa, Uncle, and friend anyone would ever need.”

He is survived by his wife, Anita Hale of Sanger, daughter, Denice Nicholson and husband Eddie of Sanger, sons, Bobby Hale, Jr., and his wife, Jill, of Decatur, Tx., and Ronnie Hale and wife Kim of Seymore, Tx., sister, Bettye Sue Bell of Waco, and brother Cecil Hale and his wife, Phyllis of Plano, Tx., Blessed with many wonderful grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and sister, Hassie Waits.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 1-2 PM, at the Church of Christ in Sanger, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at the Church. Interment will be at Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, Texas.
