OBITUARY

Monday Rites Set For Rich C. Hale

Rich C. Hale, 73, who lived near Carrollton, will be buried in Cemetery Hill at Hebron following funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church at Carrollton.  The Rev. Thomas B. Guinn will officiate.
Hale, born in Jonesboro, Tenn.,  participated in old fiddler's contest and won numerous prizes in events held throughout Texas. He came to Texas in 1898 and settled in Dallas County. He had made his home on Route 1 near Carrollton the last thirty-five years. He died at his home Saturday.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Charlie Hale, Earnest Hale and Hubert Hale, all of Dallas, and Tony Hale of Big Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Gravely of Fort Worth, Mrs. Louise Boykin of Big Spring and Miss Autie Hale of Dallas; six brothers, Jerry Hale, Joe Hale, John Hale, Buck Hale, Tom Hale and Dee Hale; a sister, Miss Reta Hale; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
