DERRELL "HARVEY"'S OBITUARY
Derrell Jack “Harvey” Hall was tragically taken on June 6, 2020. A fog came over his family that day. A Texas boy from the start Harvey was born in Bonham and raised hell in the streets of Farmers Branch. Harvey started building clubhouses for his friends when they were just kids which planted the seed for his lifelong career. Although he did many jobs from working at Harley Davidson to oilfield work, construction was always who he was.

When Harvey met his wife, Robbin, they started a family and decided small town living was what they wanted, and they left the city. He was always working long, hard hours to provide for his family. There are many words to describe this man but Robbin says it best “he is the strongest, smartest, bravest, baddest mf'er ever”. He was full of love, kindness, laughter, lessons, and much more. He was the rock, support, and hero of his family.

The first man his girls ever loved and to ever love them. Harvey taught his girls what they wanted in a man, and has helped shaped his grandsons into the men they’re becoming through his lessons and love.

Raising Stormie and Wendy was no easy task and at times they felt his wrath but mostly they felt his pride- pride in them, pride in their children, and pride in the men they chose to spend their lives with. He would help anyone in need and he NEVER met a stranger. He could always brighten the crowd with his smile, charm, and ability to tell a great story. The world is a little dimmer now without this great man.

No one will be able to pick up the phone and ask “what do we need to do?”. His talent to do ANYTHING is undeniable, he could do it all! Robbin and his girls will tell you there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Harvey would always provide for his girls, so when they wanted something of course they had to write a proposal. This taught them to appreciate what they were asking for and respect for the value of what it would cost them.

Robbin was the love of his life, Stormie and Wendy were his pride and joy, but his grandsons were his happiness (mostly because they are boys). Harvey was comforted knowing his daughters have strong, loving, hardworking husbands to love them and their children as much as he loved them and their mother. Harvey will rest easy knowing his sons in law will also take care of his Robbin.

Numbness and sadness do not come close to conveying how his family and friends feel right now, but it’s the only words they’re able to find. The sign off he always used with his family seems appropriate now... who luvs ya baby!

To cherish his memories, he leaves behind his wife, Robbin; daughters, Stormie Macy and Chris of Wills Point and Wendy Matheson and Matt of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren, Justice Musselwhite, Lukas Matheson and Dylan Matheson; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Hall and sister, Vivian Peacock.
