OBITUARY HARP
DANNY was born on August 1, 1946 and passed away on November 20, 2002 after a
lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Harp is survived by his wife of 34 years, Charla;
daughter, Dana; father, Bill Harp of Mabank; brother, Steve of Dallas TX;
sisters, Linda Thompson of Charlottesville, VA, and Patricia Sann of Carrollton,
TX; parents-in-law, Vicki Scherer and Vanessa Coffelt; brother-in-law, Lanny
Harwell; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many more loving family
members and friends. Mr. Harp is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Peddy
Harp. Danny was a graduate of R. L. Turner High School in Carrollton; class of
'64. He then attended the University of North Texas before leaving to
serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, including thirteen months in
Vietnam. He began his career as a Regional Sales Manager for Dell Publishing;
even moving to New York for a time as the company became Doubleday Publishing.
Mr. Harp then returning to Texas in 1988 to begin his own publishing company.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 from 6-8 PM, Services will be held
Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at the Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM. In lieu of
flowers, donations ma be made to the American Cancer Society or to Webb Chapel
United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch, TX.
