Betty Lee Harris, 92, of Sanger, slipped into the arms of her Savior on October 22, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Betty was born on May 16, 1930, in Saint Jo, Texas, to Harvey E. and Bessie Delene (Thompson) Yarbrough. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Sanger. She served as the Texas Department of Human Services secretary for nearly 30 years.

Survivors include son-in-law David Arnold of Sanger, granddaughter Amy Sederholm and her husband J. D. of Sanger. Additionally, she is survived by two great-grandchildren. Tyler Sederholm and Emalee Sederholm both of Sanger. Her parents and two children, Jerrell L. Chapin and Patricia D. Arnold preceded her in death.

The family will honor Betty’s memory at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in the Pavilion at the Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, Texas. Pastor Daniel Edwards will officiate the services.

Services are under the direction of Coker Funeral Home.
