Three Children Injured in Crash Leave Hospital

Three youngsters, survivors of a Monday morning wreck which killed their mother and baby brother, were scheduled to be discharged Tuesday after spending the night in Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital.

The are Eddie Harrison, 3 - the most seriously hurt, Patricia 5, and Delana, 8. Their mother, Mrs. Effie Bates Harrison, 31, and their brother, Howard Lee, 2, were killed when the family car ran off the road 15 miles northeast of Junction on Highway 377.

The family was traveling from Dallas to Del Rio to visit Mr. Harrison, who is employed on a construction job there. Mr. Harrison was in Kerrville Tuesday to take his children back to Dallas.

The bodies of Mrs. Harrison and Howard Lee were sent to Dallas for funeral services which are not yet complete.

Mrs. Effie Pearl Harrison died Monday, Jan. 9.  Survived by husband, M. L. Harrison; two daughters, Belinda and Patricia; three sons, Donald, Bobby and Howard; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bates; two sisters, Mrs. A. W. Shewmake, Mrs. W. A. McCutchjeon; seven brothers, Onnie, Lester, William, Carl, Ray, Quentin, Quincy and Stanley Bates. Services were held Thursday, Jan 9, at 3:30 p.m. in the Field Cityh Baptist Church with Rev. B. J. Belol officiating. Interment was in Farmers Branch Cemetery with Rhoton Funeral Home in Charge.

Marvin Edward Harrison, died Monday, Jan. 9. Survived by father, M. L. Harrison; two sisters, Belinda and Patricia; three brothers, Donald, Bobby and Howard Harrison. Services were held Thursday, Jan. 12, at 3:30 p. m. at the Field City Baptist Church with Rev. B. J. Bell officiating. Interment was in Farmers Branch Cemetery with Rhoton Funeral Home in charge.
