HEADEN

Clarence Drayton "CD" Headen (November 21, 1936 - April 3, 2010). CD was born in China Springs, Texas and graduated from Carrollton High School. He later attended Ranger Junior College, where he met his wife of 51 years, Glenda "G" Givens.  "G" and CD have four children, Skip, Holly, Amy and Emily. They moved to Plano, Texas in 1962.
CD went by many names throughout the years. Growing up he was known as Drayton to his family and classmates; "Headon" to his friends; "CD" in business (which he self-proclaimed stood for "Cool Daddy" and sometime "Chicken Delight"); "Unc" to his nieces and nephews, but his most cherished name was "Big Daddy" to his grandkids - Kayla, Madeline, Lauren and Chandler.
CD loved to sing, a past time the family enjoyed together. In business, CD worked in many fields, owning a restaurant, gas station, theatre and for 20 years a mechanic service company for the United States Postal Service.
His wife, children, grandkids, his brother John Nelson Headen and several nieces and nephews survive CD. All that knew him will miss his sweet and jovial demeanor. Join his celebration of life at "Narrow Trail" Cowboy Church, located in the Plano location of Love in War in Texas from 2-4 pm Thursday,, April 8. In lieu of flowers, please send donation to Mary Crowley Cancer Research Center www.marycrowleymedicalresearch.com
