OBITUARY

HEDRICK
GORDON WAYNE passed away on July 10, 2003. He was born in Johnson County Texas on Dec. 5, 1920. He grew up around Cleburne, TX and was valedictorian of his senior class at Rio Vista High School. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart in 1945 as well as five battle campaign stars. After WWII he came to Dallas and began employment at Ford Motor Company on East Grand and retired when the plant closed in 1972. He was a quite man who loved his family sports, fishing, ice cream and his garden. He is survived by his wife 55 years, Mamie Jo, his brother, F. W. Hedrick, his children, Sheila Crain and husband Carl; Vicki Miles and husband, Harold; Tammy Stevens, and husband James; and his grandchildren, Lance Crain, Brandi Miles, Jordan Miles. Andrew Stevens and Shelby Stevens. Visitation will be held 6-8 on Fri., July 11th at Metrocrest Funeral Home with service at 10AM on July 12, 2003.
