Life
Legacy
Mr. Carmen Hernandez, Sr., age 77, of Live Oak, TX entered into rest on
February 4, 2009. He was born July 16, 1931 to Jacinto and Enemicia
(Ponce) Hernandez in Farmers Branch, TX. Mr. Hernandez served in the
U.S. Navy and also worked as a salesman in the retail industry. He is
survived by his wife, Elvia O. Hernandez of Live Oak, TX; sons, Carmen
Hernandez Jr., Robert Hernandez, both of Garland, TX and John Hernandez
of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Carolynne Rhys of Gunbarrel City, TX;
brother, Ralph Hernandez of Argyle, TX; 11 grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be
held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM)
on Monday, February 9, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside Services
will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Fort Sam
Houston National Cemetery, with military honors. Directions from Schertz
