OBITUARY

HIGGINS
DEARL LEWIS (DEE) of Carrollton, TX was born May 1, 1941 and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 10, 2004. He leaves behind a throng of family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janice Higgins, his parents L. W. and Juanita Higgins, brother Doyle Higgins, son Tim Higgins and his wife Beth, Rick Higgins and his wife Lisa, a daughter Kim Hatten and her husband Craig and nine grandchildren, Alison and Hailey Higgins, Houston, Tyler, Austin Higgins, Laren and Zachary Myers, C. J. and Matthew Hatten. Today we celebrate his life because of his commitment and testimony to the Lord. He was a loving father who taught by example and pursued Christ-likeness in everything that he did. He served as a deacon at F.B.C., Carrollton for 23 years. He was a strong and faithful servant in the church where he had numerous friends. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2004. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2004, First Baptist Church, 2400 Josey Ln., Carrollton 75006. Drs. Wayne Allen and Brent Taylor officiating. Interment will be held at Hilltop Cemetery, Carrollton. Donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation 6100 Executive Blvd., Ste. 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
