OBITUARY

Maxine Hill

Mrs. Hill, 88, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Maxine was born November 21, 1925 in Carrollton, Texas; the daughter of Homer Marsh and LaBelle (Barnes) Marsh. She came to Artesia in 1945.

On December 23, 1945 she was married to Paul D. Hill in Waxahachie, Texas.

She was a bookkeeper for Hughes Hot Oil and a housewife. She was of Baptist denomination, volunteered with the Brownie Troops, Extension Club and voter registrations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and 3 sisters.

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, at Woodbine Cemetery for Maxine Hill of Artesia, New Mexico.

There will also be visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Tim Arlett will officiate at the services.

Maxine was born November 21, 1925 in Carrollton, Texas the daughter of Homer Marsh and LaBelle Barnes Marsh. She came to Artesia in 1945.

Survivors include her husband Paul D. Hill of Artesia son Paul David Hill Jr. of Odessa, Texas daughter Marsha Gunderson and husband John of Artesia very special friend and caregiver Rosie Marrow.
