BRECKENRIDGE -- Dick Hill, age 59, of Breckenridge, died Sunday,
January 7, 2007, in Clifton, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2007,
at First Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Harper officiating. Graveside
services and burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007,
in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Rock Creek, Texas with Rev. Sid Hunter
officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening,
January 9th. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Richard Buel "Dick" Hill was born on August 26, 1947 in Whitesboro,
Texas to parents Bailey Buel Hill and Geneva Frances Hall Hill. He grew
up in Whitesboro and Carrolton and graduated from R.L. Turner High
School in Carrolton in 1965. He also graduated from the University of
North Texas, earning both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in
Accounting. Dick married Donna Faye Worley on June 20, 1970 in Dallas,
Texas.
He earned his CPA license in 1976. Dick began working for Southland
Royalty Company of Fort Worth before moving to Breckenridge in 1977, to
work for Petco. Later, in 1983, he and his wife, Donna, began Hill and
Hill CPAs. In 1999 Dick became the CFO for Gore Bros. of Commanche until
he semi-retired in 2005. Most recently in 2006 he took the position as
CFO for Camp Cooley Ranch in Franklin. Dick was a member of First
Baptist Church where he attended the Circle of Friends Sunday School
Class and served as the church treasurer for several years. He was also
a member of the Deacon body, in which he had served as chairman. He was
preceded in death by his father.
Dick is survived by his wife, Donna Hill, of Breckenridge; mother,
Geneva Hill, of Breckenridge; one daughter, Kathy and husband, Lee
Fisher, of Longview; one son, Daniel Hill, of Celina; one sister, Nita
and husband, C.E. Faulkner, of Collinsville; one sister-in-law, Ann
Bolin, of Breckenridge; and one grandson, Will Fisher, of Longview.
