The Reverend Richert Redinger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Wanda (Chambers) Holman was born March 10, 1926 in St. Joe, Texas to Joe and Eliza Chambers and passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Fairview Regional Medical Center, Fairview, Oklahoma.

Wanda was the youngest of ten siblings. She attended school at Bethel, Texas, the family then moved to Murfreesboro, Arkansas where she finished school. Wanda married the first love of her life, John Selmar Lee in 1943 and out of that marriage they had one child, Linda Sue Lee. In 1968, Wanda moved to Dallas, Texas where she went to work for Docutel Olivetti. She worked at the company for 15 years as an Electrical Specialist, building ATM pc boards. Wanda moved her mother Eliza to her home in Dallas and cared for her until Eliza’s death. During that time, she met her soul mate Lawrence Miquel “Mike” Holman. They were married in Perryton, Texas in 1970. They later moved to Fairview, Oklahoma to be closer to her family. Wanda and her husband delivered the Daily and Sunday Oklahoman for eight years, until the time of his death in 2002. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairview. Prior to and when her own health declined, Wanda spent most of her time with Linda, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wanda was also known for taking care of sick animals that would find their way to her doorstep. She loved to make people laugh and be happy. Even when she was not feeling well, Wanda would go out of her way to cheer up any callers or friends who might stop by. Wanda enjoyed making pumpkin bread for the staff of G&A Pharmacy. She was known for her singing, she loved to sing to anyone that she thought might be having a bad day. The other thing Wanda strived for was for people to make the most of their lives “because you only live once.” “Be happy, do good, and help others when you can.” Those are only some of her many words of wisdom.

Wanda is survived by her only daughter, Linda Bullock of Fairview; five grandchildren, Tracey and Gary Bowers of Fairview, Tina Osborn and Colleen of Tucson, Arizona, Tammy Moore of Fairview, Jeff and Mary Beth Bullock of Des Moines, Iowa, Karen and Jeff Polum of Fairview; son-in-law Lynn Bullock and his mother Doris Monroe of Fairview; eight great-grandchildren, Courtney and Robert Venable Jr., Kaycee and Jayson Bartel; Kelsey Kennedy, Eli Kennedy and Melissa, Nick Bullock, Brandon Bowers, Erin and Mike Adair, and Mark Polum; nine great–great grandchildren, Brogen, Tate, Haley, Zack, Sheldon, Titan, Tyson, Bri and Madison; one little blessing that should arrive in November; three “adopted” grandchildren, Rebecca “Mustard” Eldred, Monte and Stephanie Patterson; four nephews, Leon, Kenneth Wayne, Curt and Royce; two nieces, Wanda and Shirley; and extended family, Chuck and Betty Obermiller and Vernon, Chanin and Chancy Hoehn.

Her parents; both husbands, seven brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Fairview, with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodians of the fund.
