OBITUARY
Charles
"Chuck" Holter
May 5, 1959 – December 24, 2019
Services for Charles "Chuck" Holter, 60 of Ben Wheeler, TX are scheduled for
10:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro.

Chuck passed away peacefully at his home in Ben Wheeler on December 24, 2019.
He was born May 5, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN to Elvin Roy Holter and Adeline
Priscilla Lusty.
Chuck grew up in Farmers Branch, TX and graduated from R.L. Turner High School
in 1978. He moved to East Texas in 1985 and worked for Tyler Water Utility for
20 years before retiring. Chuck married Kathy Jo Dike October 20, 1990. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing music. Chuck served as a youth pastor,
associate pastor and served 15 years as a cub master and scout master for the
Van Troup #376. For the past 3 years, Chuck served as Commissioner of Camp TRJ
in Athens. Chuck was an Vigil member of Ayastigi Chapter, Mikanakawa Lodge,
Order of the Arrow. He provided numerous hours of cheerful service at Circle Ten
Council camps and at district, chapter, and lodge events. He received the
District Award of Merit for Texas Skies District and the Silver Beaver Award for
Circle Ten Council.
He is survived by his Wife, Kathy Holter; Daughter, Chanda Holter & Wes
Huffines; Daughter, Erica Holter & Clifton Hall; Daughter, Audra & Keith
Nations; Grandchildren: Michael, Caleb, Kayleigha, McKenzie, Christian, Grace,
Bryson, Preston, Ava, Addy, Trinity, Paisley, Wyatt & Charleigh (his name sake);
Sister, Pamela & Sean Soloman; Sister, Tandy & Roy Belt; and Brother, Jerry &
Paula Holter.
Chuck is preceded in death by his Parents, Elvin & Adeline Holter; Sister, Diane
Christianson; Brother, James Holter; Brother, Elling Holter; and Grandson,
Brenton Huffines.
Interment will be at Edom Cemetery in Edom, TX.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral
home. |
