OBITUARY

Thomas Edward Hook

Thomas Edward Hook was born on February 20, 1944, in Long Beach, California, to Ernest and Wynona Hook. Tom grew up in Wink, Texas, where he graduated in 1963. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts from North Texas State University in 1968.

Mr. Hook taught woodshop in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District for 16 years. He really enjoyed working with his students at R.L. Turner High School and taught them woodworking as well as many lifelong lessons. Many of his students continued to stay in touch with him even after he retired from leaching in 1985.

Mr. Hook spent the next phase of his life working in the car business in Denton. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to yell at the Dallas Cowboys!

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Mayfield Hook, and two beautiful daughters, Tammy Pritchard and husband Mike Pritchard and Amanda Glover and husband Neil Glover. He had four grandchildren, Michael Pritchard, Madison Pritchard, and Caitlyn Glover and Alex Glover. He is also survived by four brothers, Donald Hook, John Hook, Pat Hook, and Mike Hook, and numerous extended family members. He also had numerous friends who will miss him.

He will be remembered at a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, November 28, at 11:00 a.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Denton, located at 1424 Stuart Rd. ln lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Children's Home in Denton.
