OBITUARY Farmers Branch Resident Succumbs
FARMERS BRANCH, Dallas Co., Texas. Aug. 23. - Mrs. Theo Leona Hughes, 83, who
came to Texas with her husband Charles Hughes, in 1904 and who had lived near
here most of the time since, died Saturday.
She was born in Scottsville, Ky., had been a member of the Baptist Church for
fifty years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ivory Hughes; two sons,
Ellis Hughes and LeRoy Hughes; two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Moody and Mrs. Bettie Oliphant; a brother,
George Braswell; fifteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Farmers Branch Baptist Church at 5 p.m.

OBITUARY Funeral Held For Mrs. Theo Hughes
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock in the
Farmers Branch Baptist Church for Mrs. Theo Leoma Hughes, 83, who died in her
home there Saturday.
The services were conducted by Rev. W. R. Haynie, Rhoton Funeral Home was in
charge and burial was in the Farmers Branch Cemetery.
Theo Leoma Braswell was born at Scottsville, Ky., on Nov 29, 1857, and was the
daughter of Leroy and Polly Ann Braswell. She was a member of the Baptist
church.
Survivors include two sons, Ellis Hughes and Leroy Hughes; one daughter, Mts.
Ivory Hughes; two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Moody and Mrs. Betty Oliphant; one
brother, George Braswell and thirteen grandchildren and two great grand
children.
