OBITUARY

Erma Ihnfeldt

Erma Hazel Ihnfeldt, 87, of Cherokee Village died April 18, 2003, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.

Born March 2, 1916, in Lewisville, Texas, she was the daughter of William Henry Underwood and Susie Audrey (Gosper) Underwood. She was married to Arthur Herman Ihnfeldt in Lewisville Oct. 12, 1933. She worked as a receptionist for an eye clinic in Texas for many years. She moved to Cherokee Village in November of 1999 from Texas. She was a member of the Coppell Methodist Church in Coppell, Texas, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Lewisville.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Henry and Doris Ihnfeldt of Trumann; two brothers -- David C. Underwood and James A. Underwood, both of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Sinclair of Grand Prairie; two grandchildren -- Henry C. Ihnfeldt Jr. and Karen Sue Harvison; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral was April 21 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Burial was in the Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
