OBITUARY OF HIS WIFE
BARBARA BEATRICE IRBYRev. Beatrice Irby, 92, passed away to be
with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2012 at Clarksville Regency Healthcare
Center. Bea was a much loved wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her.
She had been a resident of Rowlett, Texas for over fifty years. She was born in
Coppell, Texas on July 25, 1920 to William and Martha Thompson. After a lengthy
engagement during World War II, she married Rev.
Charles Winfred Irby, after the war. They married in 1945 and lived in
Lewisville, Tx., then Rowlett, Tx. except for short sojourns in Hearne, Tx. and
Maysfield, Ok. They were pastors of several Assembly of God Churches in Texas
and Oklahoma in the 1950's through 1970's.
She would wish to be remembered for her ministry, counseling, and teaching and
her love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She is predeceased by husband, Charles, in
1983. Also, by three Granddaughters: Candace Ann Groves - 1976 Sarah Elizabeth
Irby - 1983 Katherine Lee Irby - 2011 She is survived by her four children:

Charles Richard Irby and wife, Sharon of Bogata, Tx. Charlotte Elaine Sutter and
husband, Philip of Irving, Tx. Sharon Ann Groves of Rowlett, Tx.
Six Grandchildren: Brad Benat and wife, Marissa of Frisco, Tx. Chris Groves of
Rowlett, Tx. Eric Irby of Garland, Tx.
Brett Irby and wife, Shannon of Plano, Tx. Trisha Jager and husband, Brad of
Tyler, Tx. Five Great-grandchildren.
Three sisters: Georgia Maynard of Ashland, Oregon Dorothy Horne of Sherman, Tx.
Joyce Stevens or Alba, Tx. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2012 at
Williams Funeral Home in Garland, Texas from 4 - 6 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Sunday at 3:00 p.m., December 2, 2012, at
Cornerstone Assembly of God in Rowlett, Tx. Internment will follow at the Big A
Cemetery in Rowlett. |
