Death Takes Mrs. Isom of Carrollton

Mrs. Roberta Mae Isom, 40, Carrollton postmistress since 1936 and connected with the Carrollton Post office for six years previously, died at her home Saturday morning.
Her husband, G. T. Isom, is a member of the Carrollton ration board.
Mrs. Isom, who had lived in Carrollton fifteen years, was born in Hebron, Denton County, and moved to Carrollton from there. She was a member of the Carrollton First Baptist church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Elizabeth Ann ISom, her mother, Mrs. Walter J. Davis, Hebron, a sister and nine brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Carrollton First Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Colton officiating, assisted by the local pastor and by the pastor of the Grand Prairie First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cemetery Hill near Hebron.

Mrs. Isom of Carrollton Dies

Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Isom, native of Denton County, who died Saturday in Carrollton, were held Sunday afternoon in the First Baptist Church of Carrollton. Burial was at Cemetery Hill, near Herbon.
Born in Hebron in 1904, Mrs. Isom had lived in Denton County until 15 years ago, when with her husband, G. F. Isom, she moved to Carrollton, where she was postmistress at the time of her death.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Elizabeth Ann; her mother, Mrs. W. J. Davis, who lived in Denton County 50 (?) years; a sister, Mrs. Chester Davis, Washington, D. C. and nine brothers, two of whom, Theodore and Paul Davis, live at Hebron.
Messrs, and Mmes, S. E. Isom, James Corbin and daughter and Marion Stark, and Mrs. Neva Vanzandt and son, all of Denton, attended the funeral
