OBITUARY
Minnie
Jimerson
Minnie Lee Pearl Jimerson passed away into the arms of Jesus Christ on
September 26, 2024. She was met by the love of her life, her cowboy. Her
battle with cancer and Alzheimer's is now over.
A visitation has been set for Saturday, September 28, 2024 from
6:00-7:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Funeral services have been set
for Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home,
Rev. Rocky Burrow officiating. Interment will be held at Restland
Cemetery in Dallas at 2:00 P.M.
She was born May 16, 1944 to Morris R. Johnson and Margaret Johnson in
Dallas, Texas and raised in Farmers Branch.
She married Charles E. Jimerson February 20, 1970 in Carrolton, Texas.
She was a homemaker, campfire leader, Girl Scout leader, and den mother
to her husband's Boy Scout troop #2 in the 70's. She wore many hats in
her life working at TI in the 60's selling insurance and real estate in
the 80's she was force to retire due to health from L3 in Greenville
after 25 years of service. She was an avid book reader and made many
baby blankets for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four daughters Pennye Anderson, Peggye Sprouse
(Billy), Patience Allen of the home (she cared for her Momma). One
brother Leland W. Johnson, sisters in law, Chris Householder and Linda
Jimerson; grandchildren, James R. Wilson (Claudia), Lesley W. Wilson
(Sabrina), Troy Harrell, Sr., Justin Harrell, Lloyd Harrell, John Luke
Allen (Kimberlyn), Billy Sprouse, Jessica Cherif (Kareem); great
grandchildren, Kaiden Wilson, Bentley Wilson, Taylee Wilson, Ciara
Mahon, Layla Harrell, Troy Harrell, Jr., Ace Harrell, Mariam Cherif,
Amena Cherif, Zachary Cherif, one on the way in March; many nieces and
nephews. She is also survived by adopted (by heart) Cheri and Adrian
Wilson and family, Shane Calahan, among others that she adopted along
the way. If you were a friend to one of her girls or grandsons, she
would adopt you and loved you like you were her own.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life Charles E. Jimerson,
parents, Morris and Margaret Johnson, mother and father in law, Viola M.
and Willie Jimerson, brothers, Thomas Johnson, Walter Johnson, sister,
Georgie Everett, brother in law, Joe Povey, Joe Ross, Richard
Householder, Willie Jimerson, Jr., sisters in law Rose Povey, Lida Kiker,
Billie Ross, nieces, Tina Povey, Karen Fuller, Terry White, Vickie
Vencill, Becky Wooten, nephews, Bobby Vencill, John Ross, and Jody Ross.
Pallbearers will be Troy E. Harrell, Sr., Justin L. Harrell, Lloyd
Harrell, J. Luke Allen, Billy W. Sprouse, Stephen L. Sugg. Honorary
pallbearers will be James R. Wilson and Lesley W. Wilson.
Special thank you to her Doctor Myers Hurt and staff, Dr. Wilcox and
staff at the Cancer Center, Elite Home Health, Jodi Price, Heart to
Heart Hospice, Jamie McNeely, for all the love and care shown and given
to momma. Also, to her adopted daughter and son Cheri and Adrian Wilson
for helping care for momma in her final days and all the love given to
her over the years.
