Rites set for Marguerite L. Johnson, 84
The Dallas Morning News-July 7, 1996

Services for Marguerite L. Johnson, a retired Carrollton High School geometry teacher, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home's Abbey Chapel in Dallas. Burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Johnson, 84, died Thursday at Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton from a reaction to medicine, said her husband, Frank Johnson of Carrollton.

She began teaching in the 1920s in El Paso at an elementary school, Mr. Johnson said.

She also taught in Big Spring, Texas, and Grand Prairie before moving to Carrollton in the mid-1940s to teach geometry at Carrollton High.

She retired from Carrollton High in 1964.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by two brothers, R.G. Collins of Houston and Bob Collins of Port Neches, Texas
