Ben Johnston Pioneer, Dies
FARMERS BRANCH - Funeral services for Ben Johnston, 82, of 3317 Valley View, pioneer Dallas County farmer and stockman, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Restland Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Keenan Cemetery in Farmers Branch.
Johnston died Wednesday in Dallas.
Johnston was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Johnston, early settlers in Dallas County who moved here from Illinois in 1854.
During World War I, Johnston served as an assistant to County Ageny C. O. Moser in Dallas County, helping in food rationing and distribution.
Survivors: a sister, Miss Ava Johnston of Dallas, and a brother, Bob Johnston of San Angelo
