Winston-Salem - Chris Jones, 51, departed this earth on September
6th 2011. He is now reunited in Heaven with the love of his life,
Dede Taylor. Chris will be greatly
missed by all of his loved ones and friends. He will be remembered
for his stories, his love of music, his love for family and his love for
“the boys”. He will be remembered
by “the boys” for his fishing trips to the creek, the long (patient)
Monopoly games and bug collecting with Emory. He was a loving and
spiritual person who formed friendships easily. Chris was born in
Dallas, Texas December
30, 1959 and lived the majority of his life there before moving
to Winston-Salem with his soul mate,
Dede. Chris
attended R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas. Chris is
survived by his parents Carolyn and Jerry Worsham of Rockwall, Texas;
brother Ron Worsham of Hollywood, Florida; sisters Lisa Luff and Stacy
Crossland of Rockwall, Texas; son Randall Lee Jones; aunts Rita Collins,
Melba Craig, Mary Summerlin, Barbara McDermott, Norita White and Barbara
Harlow; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Chris’ family in
Winston-Salem consists of Laura and Will Blackwell; Marla and John
Blackwell; Cindy and Ian Calvert; Helen Davis; Davis, Emory, Austin and
Bowen Blackwell; and Caroline Porter.
A funeral will be held
at 1:00 pm on Saturday,
September
17, in the Chapel
at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to Crisis Control Ministry, 200 E. 10th Street,
Winston-Salem, NC 27101; St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 520 Summit Street,
Winston-Salem, NC 27101; or charity of your choice.
