CLIFFORD'S
OBITUARY
Clifford Milton Jones, Jr. was born on December 2nd, 1954 to Clifford
and Ida Jones in Dallas, Texas. He left our earthly world on November
2nd, 2019 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by loved ones.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pam Jones, his children
Jennifer Jones of Lewisville, and Chad Jones (Ashley Prevost) of Austin,
and grandchildren Hannah Jones, Olivia Jones, and Ian Huckleberry Jones,
as well as his mother, Ida Davis, loving sister, Gail Criss, and many
extended family members.
Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Clifford, and a beloved
brother in law, John Criss.
Cliff graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 1973. He met the love
of his life, Pam, while working at Booth Incorporated. He was later
employed by Sears for many years before returning to school to learn to
become a computer programmer. He was co-founder and President of Data
Magic, Inc. in Coppell. Through Data Magic, Cliff worked at GE Aviation,
and then CFM Materials, where he helped build a custom program which
enabled a significant increase in productivity at both companies. Cliff
also supported the work of Dr. Ernie Fernandez through programming he
did for Camp Sweeney, which changed the lives of many youth living with
Type 1 Diabetes.
Once his grandchildren were born, Cliff recommitted to maintaining his
health, and was a Platinum member of Lifetime Fitness in Flower Mound
where he developed a daily yoga practice. He cherished opportunities to
grow his practice with friends through attending yoga retreats in places
such as Costa Rica and Broken Bow, OK. Prior to taking up yoga, Cliff
practiced karate with his nephew Steven, ultimately achieving a brown
belt for his effort.
Cliff loved to share his passions with those who knew him. He was well
known for his love of Superman, his relentless support for the Dallas
Cowboys, and enthusiasm for the Star Wars universe. He was a man of
incredible character who was known for his integrity, honesty, and hard
work. He was generous and took great pleasure in helping others. He was
openly affectionate with those he loved, loved to tease, and took so
much joy in spending time with family and friends, especially his
grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Cliff’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Wednesday, November 6th at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
Interment will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Coppell. |
