OBITUARY

Columbus A. Jones Died at Age 55

Columbus Allen Jones, 55, a resident of Dallas for the last thirty-seven years, died of a heart attack Monday en route to a Dallas hospital.
Jones who had been a steward in the merchant marine since 1939, lived at 4937 Worth.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Geo. A. Brewer Chapel, 3603 Ross. The Rev. John G. Moore, pastor of the Colonial Baptist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Cemetery Hill in Carrollton.
Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Lacy of Dallas, Mrs. Mattie Wells of Houston and Mrs. Etta Bickers of Houston; a stepson Marvin Blakely of Bakersfield, Calif., and a step-daughter, Mrs. T. M. Wilkerson of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be O. H. Duncan, Alger Duncan, Millard Wilkerson, Gene Wilkerson, Paul Schelzer and Bill Schelzer.
