LESLIE'S OBITUARY
Graveside service for Leslie Jones, 57, of Nacogdoches, will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Concord Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas with Bro. Albert Hensarling officiating.

Mr. Jones passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019, in Nacogdoches. He was born on April 20, 1962, in Dallas.

Leslie was born on April 20, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. During junior high school, his talent for playing the trombone was realized by his music directors. Leslie graduated from R.L. Turner High School in Farmers Branch, Texas with music honors. His love of music and excellent marching band abilities led him to receiving a music scholarship from Louisiana State University.

Leslie was a son, brother, and friend to many. He loved animals and was good with any creature he came in contact with. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and spent time fishing when he had the chance. Later in life, Leslie developed a passion for working with leather. He was particularly talented in making wallets and other small items.

Leslie was a giving and loving man and was fortunate enough to help take care of his mom, whom he dearly loved, during her struggle with dementia. After being diagnosed with a severe disability, Leslie moved into the Nacogdoches Burke Center, where he made many friends and was able to enjoy life until his passing.

Leslie is survived by his brothers, Michele Gene Jones & wife, Edith of Detroit, Texas and Dennis Jones of Cumby
