MICHAEL WAYNE JONES
July 2, 1958 - July 20, 2017

Michael Wayne Jones, age 59, of Celina, Texas, passed away on July 20, 2017. Michael was born in Wichita, Kansas, on July
2, 1958, and was adopted in early 1959. He attended R. L. Turner High School, Walden Prep, and later obtained his G.E.D.
He married Sherry Curtis on April 14, 1979, and divorced late in 1980.
Michael is survived by his sister Tracy Jones Fiers and her husband DuWayne Lee Fiers.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Wayne Jones and Wilma Ione Jones.
Michael had a love of motorcycles, music and animals. He loved his dogs Sadie, Chaz and BabyGirl and his cat Sugar. He
also helped care for the horses Peppy and Jack, spoiling them by giving them pounds of carrots, whenever possible. He was a
member of the American Legion Riders who serve as a motorcycle escort to honor fallen military men and women, and to
protect the sanctity of their funerals from those who would dishonor their memory. He attended a Bible College by correspondence course and gained strength through his walk as a Christian.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on July 26, 2017, at Love Fellowship Church, 16611 FM 428, Celina, Texas,
75009. Pastor DeWayne Brawner will be officiating.
