OBITUARY
 
Patti Lois (Perry) Jones, beloved mother, grandmother,sister and friend of anyone she met passed away in her home in McKinney, Texas on May 13, 2012. Patti was born on November 20, 1921 to Henry and Edna Perry in Carrollton, Texas. She was the first of eight children. Three brothers and two sisters survive her. Patti graduated from SMU and taught in the DISD for many years. Shortly after beginning her teaching career, Patti met her husband, Winston Jones. Patti and Winston were the complete package. They enjoyed 62 years of constant companionship, which included their mutual love for travel, family get-to-gethers and the enjoyment of being grandparents until Winston's death in 2006. After retirement from her teaching career, Patti and Winston founded a successful wholesale nursery business. They were both very well known in the nursery circle and served in many association positions. They spent many delightful years on their farm near Prosper, Texas turning it into a showplace for hosting their friends and family at many unforgetful events, later moving to their home in McKinney, Texas. Patti is survived by daughter, Barbara Eckert and husband, James Eckert of Celina, Texas, grandson, Michael Eckert and wife, Sharon and their children Jordan and Jared of Little Elm, Texas, granddaughter, Catherine Woodbury and husband, Dave and their children, Charlie, Madeline and Caroline of Nocona, Texas. A graveside service will be on Wednesday, May16, at 11:00 A.M. at Restland.
