OBITUARY SOPHIE JONES
JONES, SOPHIE, 88, lived in Carrollton. She died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at
Trinity Medical Center after two weeks of hospital care. Sophie (Brezinski)
Jones was born March 13, 1916, in East Chicago, IN. She studied at the Chicago
Institute of Art. She married Melvin S. Jones in 1943. Sophie resided in
Portage, IN; Coral Springs, FL and Carrollton, TX, Her son, Graham K. Jones, and
daughter-in-law, Laura survive her, along with her sisters, Josie Miller of
Munster, IN and Marie Kocsak of North Judson, IN; grandchildren: Kym Womack of
Coppell, Elizabeth Jones of Frisco and Tristan Jones of Carroll ton. Preceding
her in death are her husband, Melvin and her ten brothers and sisters: Stanley.
Lottie, John, Helen,. Martin, Jenny, Victor, Steve, George and Joseph, Family
services will be held on Friday, March 11, at 10:00 AM at
Hilltop Cemetery, She will be
laid to rest next to her husband under a big oak tree Dignity Memorial Rhoton
