Obituary of Charles Henry King IIPLAY TRIBUTE MOVIE
Charles Henry “C.H.” King, Jr., loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away after a lengthy illness on March 17, 2018. He was born in El Paso, Texas, on November 24, 1942, to Charles Henry King, Sr., and Bobby Conine King. He attended Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Texas, 1958-1960, and Kimbell High School in Dallas, Texas, 1960-1961. He later earned a B.S. degree from Sam Houston State University in 1975.

C.H.’s life was one of service. He was very proud of having served as a U.S. Army paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division, Division Artillery, at Ft. Campbell, KY, from 1961-1964. After his discharge from the Army, he joined the Dallas Police Department as a Police Officer. He served with the DPD for 38 years and retired as a Patrol Sergeant in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vicki Colopietra King; sister Carol King Lynch; daughters Charla King Riner and Lisa King Gutierrez; and several grandchildren: Jordan L. King, Kennedy Shaw, Keelan D. Davidson, Jayden Hawkins, Joshua C. Bitz, Savannah R. Bitz, and Caleb L. Bitz.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Dallas Ray King, a sister, Diana Scott King, and his son, Charles Henry “Chuck” King, III.
