Crawford, Colorado resident, Milton Klatt, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Crawford. He was 62 years of age.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Crawford Community United Methodist Church in Crawford with Pastor James Gall officiating.
Milton was born on September 10, 1954 to Carl F. and Frona Clio (Carville) Klatt in Uravan, Colorado. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Colorado, Utah and Texas graduating from R. L. Turner High School in Carrolton, Texas. After high school, he attended college in Texas and Nevada.
Milton was attending flight school in Nevada when he met Melody Frances Villone. They married on June 26, 1978 in Carson City, Nevada. With this union, Milton gained a wife and family.
Milton served as town marshal for the Sparks, NV Marshal office for 24 years. He was proud to be a police officer and serve his community.
Milton loved playing Texas Hold’em and Cribbage. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and traveling with Melody in their RV and on Caribbean cruises.
Milton is survived by his daughters: Angel Villone of Wintersville, Ohio and Candy Nyholm of Crawford; grandchildren: Franceska Villone, Vincent Villone and Tyler (Justice) Nyholm of Crawford; great-grandchildren: Delaney Nyholm and Kamree Alward; his sister, Susan (Randy) Aulbaugh; his brother, Carl F. Klatt, Jr.; and niece, Cari (Donnie) Shell, all of Irving, Texas.
The family suggests memorial contributions to be made in Milton’s memory to the Crawford Community United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
