Mary Elizabeth "Mazie" Landers

Mary Elizabeth “Mazie” Landers, age 89, of Melissa, Texas, passed away November 5, 2011, in McKinney, Texas. Mazie was born January 29, 1922, in Chambersville, Texas, to Edward Palmer and Stella Mae (Anderson) Reneau. She married Clarence Leonard Landers on November 23, 1940 in Carrollton, Texas. Mazie was a member of Community North Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Adkins of White Settlement, Texas, James Landers and wife, Linda of Burleson, Texas, John Landers of Emory, Texas, and Michael Landers and wife, Pauletta of Melissa, Texas; ten
grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and brother, John Wayne Reneau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leonard Landers and siblings, Florine Craft, Willie Mae Ray, Leland Reneau, Edwin Reneau, Harold Reneau, Robert Reneau, George Reneau, and Jack Reneau. Funeral services will beheld at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Dr. Bruce Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
