BIOGRAPHY
Cpl. Henry C. Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Lane of Carrollton, Texas, was
born in Dallas County, November 17, 1893. Educated in the rural schools. He
entered the service October 7, 1917, and was assigned to Company C. 315th Field
Signal Battalion, 90th Division. Went overseas in July, 1918, and participated
in St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne drive. Was gassed in the later battle
October 29, 1918. For efficient service was promoted to Corporal. Following his
return tothe United States was granted a discharge

OBITUARY
Henry Lane Passes
Henry C. Lane passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Hattie Hughes,
5457 Richmond, Dallas, Monday and funeral services held and burial had
Wednesday, burial being in Perry
cemetery here at Carrollton.
Mr. Lane was 44 years of age and lived here with his parents Mr. and Mrs. L. C.
Lane in his boyhood days. He was well known to the older people of this town and
community. He is survived by his wife, Winnie; stepdaughter, Althea Lee
King; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hazelwood, Mrs. Hattie Hughes, Mrs. Grace Slater,
Mrs. Mollie Milton, Mrs. Naomi Kelley, Mrs. Nannie McGee; one brother,
Taylor Lane.
