Tammy Lee Lawson, age 53, of Dallas, went on to be with her Lord and
Savior on Saturday, January 13, 2024. A celebration of her life will be
held at 3:00p.m. Friday, January 19th, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in
Quinlan, Texas.
Tammy was born on Friday, April 17, 1970, to Clifford Allan Lawson and
Sharon Pierce. She attended R.L. Turner High School in Carrolton, where
she played the flute, sang in the school choir, and enjoyed dancing.
Tammy had a compassionate heart and loved to help others. As a teenager,
she worked as a candy stripper for Brookhaven Hospital in Dallas. She
also enjoyed giving back to others through her involvement with the
Brownies and Bluebirds in Farmers Branch. Tammy also had an incredible
compassion for animals and enjoyed caring for strays. She had a kind
heart and a unique spirit. She always rooted for the underdog and freely
gave of herself. She never met a stranger and loved the chance to be
there for someone in need of help or just a place to stay. She loved all
genres of music from Country to R&B and especially artists such as
Prince, Marvin Gaye, Boys II Men, Reba. She enjoyed working puzzles and
playing games with friends and family. She collected VHS Disney movies
and loved purple. She admired the simple beauty of sunflowers and spent
many days riding bicycles in the neighborhood, family times included
camping and fishing, spending time at her grandparents' and aunt's home.
She went on to be a mother and always had a house full of dogs and cats
and any animal that needed refuge. She was preceded in death by her
father, Clifford Allan Lawson of Alabama.
She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her sons, Payne Allan
Lawson of Huntsville, Alabama, and Rodney Wyatt Lawson of Dallas; her
