OBITUARY

 

Mrs. Jane Lewers Dies.
Special To The News.
Carrollton, Tex., May 12. - Mrs Jane Lewers, who came to Texas about 1870 with her husband, died at the residence of Joseph Dixon, two and one-half miles north of this place, at 4 o'clock on the morning of May 10.
"Aunt Jane," as she was commonly known, had lived  with Mr. Dixon for the past twenty-six years, her husband having been dead for thirty years.
She came to this country from Ireland in an early day. No immediate relation survives her.
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. She was interred at the Farmers Branch Cemetery by the side of her husband. The cause of death was general break-down or old age.
