He was raised in Farmers Branch and attended Mary Immaculate and Central Elementaries, Dewitt Perry Middle School and he graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 1974. Michael attended North Eastern Oklahoma Junior College and Texas Tech University.
Sports played a huge role in Michael's life. He began playing baseball as a young boy and was a natural. He played both baseball and football in high school and football at NEO Junior College. Right out of high school Michael was invited to attend training camp and try out for the Cincinnati Reds.
Michael worked in the equipment sales industry for more than 40 years, which included Genie Industries/Terex, MEC of California, and most recently, North Valley Research. He enjoyed a good challenge and loved having the opportunity to work with and build up this new company in the United States.
In 1987, Michael went to InterFirst Bank in Carrollton to get a loan to start his own landscaping business. This is where he met Reyna Cooper. They married on April 30, 1988, and have two children, Leah and Ben.
Michael was passionate about sports! He kept up with Texas Rangers Baseball, Dallas Cowboys and Marcus High School football, played golf, and loved to hunt. Most of all, he loved playing Prince Charming to his granddaughter, Claire, and was looking forward to taking his grandson, Luke, to his first Rangers game.
Michael passed from this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, while on a work-related trip to New Orleans, Louisiana.
