Edward
Regis Limoges (Reggie), age 68, former Pilot Point and Pottsboro, TX, resident
was born on November 25, 1945, to Edward Raymond Limoges and Lenore (Crouch)
Limoges in Portland, Maine. His parents brought him to Texas within six months
of his birth.
He attended R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, TX, before joining the U.S.
Navy. He served as a hospital corpsman assigned to a Marine Unit in Vietnam.
After his enlistment, he turned his hand to various machine repair jobs. As a
skilled mechanic, he became a Millwright, eventually retiring from LTV in the
late 1980's. He came to Pilot Point where he took care of his grandmother, Edna
Crouch, and opened a small engine repair shop. He met and married his wife
there.
Reggie and his wife retired to Pottsboro in 2008, where he continued to be
active in various civic and charitable organizations. He was a member of Faith
Assembly of God in Denison, TX.
Reggie is survived by his wife, Annette Crawley Limoges. The couple have no
children, but Reggie was the "favorite uncle" of 6-yr-old Triston Crawley of
Pottsboro. In addition, he leaves behind his beloved nieces, Christy Jacobs of
The Colony, TX; Patricia Richardson of Livingston, TX; and Barbara Griffin of
Van Alstyne, TX; and nephew Kenneth Ballard of Aubrey, TX. He is also survived
by his uncle and aunt, Mike and Mary Jo Limoges of Fort Worth, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister,
Sherry Limoges Dindios.
Per his request there will not be a funeral, but a celebratory memorial will be
held in honor of Reggie's life on June 7, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at Faith Assembly
of God, 5019 Hwy 84, in Denison, TX. He will be interred with his family at
Belew Cemetery in Aubrey.
